Oh my goodness it's been such a long while since my last posting, and to be honest I have no excuse. Weirdly, as I'm due to go back to full time work next week (new job, arrggghhh!) I now feel compelled to blog!

I'm feeling just a teensy bit bad, guilty, sad, terrified, excited about going back to work. Oh yes, I have been doing a part time cleaning job and no disrespect to anyone who does that for a living, it just didn't  feel like a real job to me, as it's not sitting in the office looking at a computer screen I guess! But as of next week that'll be me.

What will be come of Mr F? Dramatic pause.......

Well.........big breath: we'll be getting up at some ungodly hour (or normal time for any working parent) like 7.00am, and leaving the house around 8.10am to drop off early at pre-school (they are heaven sent!) to get to work at 8.30am. Then I'll do a morning's work, as will Mr F, and his will no doubt be way more strenuous and full-on than mine. Then I'll be jumping in the car at lunch time to collect from pre-school to drop home to Daddy who's having a little work break, well it wouldn't do for both parents to be at work at the same time, now would it?! I jest! That wasn't the initial plan, but.......adaptable we are! Then, I plan to walk back to work from home, I know, how fabulous is that? I've got a job so close to home that I can walk it! I still can't really believe it!

So for the next few weeks hopefully, Daddy and Mr F will be doing some new male bonding! OMG! I hope they don't kill each other, they won't will they? No of course they won't. What on earth am I worrying about?! It'll be good for them both, character building. And of course I hope my OH will see just how hectic life can be with a 3 and half year old busy little bee. Will I be doing the grumpy Mummy routine when I get in from work? "What's all this mess? Why's the dinner not ready? What have you been doing all day? Child care's easy, you should try working for a living?" Nah, probably not. But I will be silently clocking them up, never fear!

Ah, my boys spending time together, how wonderful. If today was anything to go by it'll all be just fine. Today was Daddy's birthday, and it started with Mr F jumping on the bed to give Daddy a birthday kiss and cuddle and a happy birthday! Ah bless. Then the boys had lunch together as Mummy was busy with pre-school stuff and Mr F told Daddy all the surprises Mummy had in store for his birthday! Obviously not all the surprises (!), but all the ones he knew about; carrot cake, present, card. He spilled the lot! Remind me never to tell Mr F a bone-fide secret!
